Coffee + Conversation with DWC

This October, we had the honor of co-hosting our monthly Coffee + Conversations event with MADE by DWC. MADE by DWC is the social enterprise branch created by the Downtown Women’s Center, which serves women transitioning out of homelessness in Los Angeles. Our Community Outreach Advocate Latoya Hawthorne-Stiner was the moderator for this event. Penney Manning and Joseph “Joe” Altepeter from MADE by DWC were our incredible panelists.

Celebrating Six Years of the Little Market

Lauren and Hannah {Claire Thomas x The Little Market}

Oct. 24 marked the sixth anniversary of The Little Market! When our co-founders Lauren Conrad and Hannah Skvarla created The Little Market in 2013, our nonprofit ethically purchased products from five artisan groups in eight countries. Six years later, we have expanded our reach to carrying products from over 70 artisan groups and social enterprises in more than 25 countries and sovereign states. We prioritize working with small artisan groups from rural areas that normally would not have a platform in the global market.

This year we partnered with new artisan groups such as Anchal Project, Musee Bath, Olive &  Annie, Tribal Textiles, Canaan Palestine, and we hope to continue partnering with more groups and expanding our reach in the years to come.

Charity Collaboration with Human Rights Watch

The Little Market x Human Rights Watch Collaboration - Tote {The Little Market}

We are proud to collaborate with Human Rights Watch. This October, we launched our latest charity tote and candle. For every purchase, we will donate 50 percent of the respective price to Human Rights Watch in support of its mission for a more equal, inclusive world.
