Last month, The Little Market participated in the 10th Annual Women in Green Forum in the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. The Women in Green Forum is an eco-conscious conference showcasing women’s positive impacts on the environmental industry. The event brings together speakers, vendors, and attendees committed to sustainable practices and helping the environment.

The Forum creates a space for these professionals to come together and build their skills, advocate for women’s leadership in the industry, and work toward a world with equal rights, where everyone, regardless of background, has equal access to leadership and decision-making.

We were grateful to be an exhibitor at this year’s Forum and to share pieces from our eco-conscious collection — our soaps, huipil bags, PURPOSEfull TOTES, and picture frames.

Each bar of soap is hand-poured in small batches by women rising above homelessness in Downtown Los Angeles, Calif. Not only do the soaps have a story, but the packaging does as well — a portion of the packaging is created from repurposed pages of books. Our huipil bags are handmade in Guatemala and repurposed from traditional Mayan blouses.

Our reusable burlap bags are hand-sewn in rural Bangladeshi communities by artisan women using sustainable jute fabric. And our picture frames are handmade in India with sustainability in mind.

We are grateful for the Women in Green Forum’s mission and for the incredible opportunity to participate. Thank you to all who attended!
