Yolanda Colgua Morales is an artisan working with Maya Traditions, one of the amazing groups we work with in Guatemala. We loved getting to know a little bit more about Yolanda’s story. Read her interview below!

What does being a mother mean to you?

It is a gift. I am very happy for the two daughters that I have; they always support me.

How has working with Maya Traditions and The Little Market impacted your life and your family’s life?

They helped me a lot with the education of my children.

What is your favorite part of motherhood?

Seeing everyone happy.

What have your children taught you?

To be strong and fight for them.

What is something you’d like to teach your children?

To be respectful and to make textiles.

How has being a mother influenced your life?

I feel happy when I had them. I have company in the house.
