At The Little Market, we strive to develop artisan-made goods that follow eco-friendly practices and/or are made from repurposed materials. In honor of Earth Day, we are highlighting the ways we have a sustainable impact on the environment each day of the year. Learn more about some of our favorite pieces, including our latest collection of reusable bags, that are made with Mother Earth in mind.

Our new bag collection includes lots of fun phrases. Each of these bags is made with a water-resistant lining, so they are easy to clean. The fabric makes them strong and durable.

Bringing your own bags to the market is a simple way to make a huge impact. Plastic bags end up in landfills and are very harmful to the Earth.

Our glassware collection is made using recycled glass, and each piece is hand-etched by artisans in Mexico.

Knitting Basket - White {The Little Market}

Our baskets from Senegal are made with locally sourced cattail stalks and recycled plastic.

We source our beautiful olive wood pieces from Kenya and Tunisia. Artisans collect the wood using sustainable practices. The olive wood tree in particular is sacred to Kenyans, and Kenyan carvers develop their art while showcasing the beauty of the sacred tree.

We love partnering with groups that follow eco-friendly practices, and we hope this post inspires you to follow sustainable methods too!
